OK, so I was intonating my Silver Dot last night to be ready for some recording that needs to be done, and came across the fact that the muppet who originally owned this guitar (Aside from putting chips all over it, obviously careless/down to the wood ones, not just little dents from general play ) has managed to round out the heads of the two lowest string saddle bolts.

Anyone got any good tips about how to get them out?

Take the strings off or pop the bridge, the file a slot across the head of the bolt so you can undo it with a flat bladed screwdriver.

you can also buy a screw extractor set if you want. or if you have locking pliers that are small enough to get in there, you can clamp them down on the outer rim of the bolt and turn it a tiny bit at a time, until you loosen it. but don't try that with normal, non-locking pliers because they'll slip off and scratch the guitar!
