Got Routing Templates Today SD Blackout P-1

So, Im building a new gitfiddle My new 7 string build has started! and I wanted to use blackouts, but wanted nice tight routes around the pickups. I went ahead and had passives made and the EMG size made while I was at it. Im stoked. Thought you guys would like to see.

tight fit Just 1/32" around, will leave enough room for sanding, finishing and shielding. I wont have to worry about the pickups looking weird in the cavity now.

1/32" is a REALLY small clearance AFTER youve painted/shielded the cavity
are you sure its going to fit??

Who made the templates for you?

They look like they are very well made, ala StewMac, with centerlines & all.

It seems like a small clearance, but in reality its not. My Schecter cavities have a little less clearance and the blackouts fit perfectly. Its 1/32" all the way around you have to think youll be taking about 1/64" sanding and thats the thickness of the clear coat and shielding right there. These will work great. I will test them to be 100% sure of course, but Im already 98% sure they will work without a hitch. I made these templates out of wood before I had them cut in acrylic and did 2 sizes each just to be safe, one template with 3/64" and one with 1/32", the 1/32" is the winner for me. Now I need to finish my neck joint template tonight so I can route the pickups on Monday.

shit that is a good job by you mate, they would be so handy for other people too, you should make some to sell

I plan on offering them. I had them made because I couldnt find any premade templates out there like this, so I figured I would throw them up on ebay. I might actually make some of my guitar designs into templates and sell them on the evilbay.
