EMG 707's squealing...Any ideas?

I haven't had any issues with my 707 since soldierkahn worked on it.

I'm surprised he hasn't popped in on this thread.

Actually after reading this thread again - i gotta say i think i mistook it for something else. I dont get this "squeal" from the 707s in my ibby.

I think no matter what I do, both pickups do it. I wonder if I got a bad batch of EMGz, or if its just the guitar.

Can you record a video of it and maybe we can guess from there?

I was thinking that, the problem is it only really happens at my gigging volume. My laptop mix might distort if its that loud.

I used to have that problem a lot with my 707's. All I did was turn the gain down, and turn the volume up a bit(both on my amp), then tweak my noise suppressor. I still got an extreme amount of gain with no squeal, even doing stoccato stuff. I dunno, it worked for me.

At both practice and gigging volume.
