![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Wolfetone rules! i sent a spare Duncan JB-7 off to Wolfetone Pickups to be rewound to older no-logo JB specs, like eaeolian and noodles from Division have had done. i have to say, this guy was awesome to deal with. i got the pickup back in 9 days, including coast-to-coast shipping time both ways. there was a technical problem with the condition of the pickup when i sent it to him [i had sawed off the bottoms of the pole pieces], but he went the extra mile to work around it and fix it using his own new pole pieces and refused to charge me for them. the rewound pickup looks tight and sleek. i bet it's going to sound awesome; the only problem is that i don't have a guitar to put it in yet. ![]() so anyone who was on the fence about the time or effort to have him wind anything for you, i say go for it. he was great the whole way through. _actual time_ : prog/math/metal/???? on myspace |

If i dont throw bkps in my next axe, i think im putting a wolfe jb in it for sure. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Nine days? Nine FUCKING days?!? God dammit... ![]() I would pull a pickup, any pickup, out of any non-basswood guitar you have. Seriously. This thing just crushes every other pickup I have ever owned. Output is not a problem, either, since you can crank it right up close to the strings. I'm going to send him a Custom next and see what he can do with a pickup with deeper bobbins. Who knows? I may get a Lungren destroyer out of it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | $50 + shipping for a rewind. A new JB7 is $79, so it is really not that expensive, considering. Or, you could tolerate your guitar being down a couple of weeks. |
