H/S/S grounding question

i just got my JB humbucker (bridge) and 2 SD hot rails for the neck and middle of my project guitar. i'm planning on following this wiring diagram for the install:

my question is; i bought this kit from stew mac: Wiring Kit for Flametop-S Rear-routed Guitar Bodies at Stewart-MacDonald

when i ground this setup, could i use one of the wires from that wiring kit to go from the Floyd Rose's trem claw through the cavity and ground it to the volume pot? i've seen this done on numerous guitars and i've figured this is how i should ground it but it wasn't marked on the diagram.

and another question: i have to use some of their shielded or non-shielded wire when going from the Output jack to the lugs on the pot and from the pot to the 5-way switch? which wires should i use to make these connections; shielded or non-shielded(white/black)?
thanks guys!!
