Radio
my amp(or guitar) is picking up radio signals
and my amp plays the radio next door. how do i stop this? also, i dont know whats happening, but my guitar sound seems to get "weaker" as in less gain+volume and with minor adjustments through just moving the guitar, the fuller sound comes back. whats happening?

Edit: What kind of amp are you playing through?
This commonly happens becasue of bad grounding/shielding. Check your cords. How is the power in your house? It sounds like you might have low voltage.

Max is right, a shitty cord, or a big coil can act as an antenna...
Doesn't seem to explain the loss of sound though.. |

the radio signal getting in won't inherently weaken your guitar signal. Sounds to me like you have some wear-n-tear in your cord and in some positions the leads are not making good contact. If the shield is worn out and not making contact, radio frequencies that should otherwise be diverted (via the shield) will be making it into your guitar signal. By the same token, if your main conductor is damaged then the loss in signal is easily explained.
it's often most noticeable with high levels of gain, because the RF noise is generally very low, but the compression of the signal brings it up - though not to a loud enough level to distort.
