Putting an OFR7 in an Edge/LoPro 7 route

Pretty sure Gotoh doesn't make a 7 string version of their Floyd. Well, if you don't count the Edge7/LoPro7/EdgePro7/ZR7.

I'm about to just buy a Gotoh Floyd for one of my 6's, because getting a chrome Edge used is fucking impossibility, and there no way in hell I'm paying $300 for a new one.

(EDIT again, nevermind, Mr Harris won't take credit cards over paypal, F.u.c.k.)

Drew, I dunno what the saddle radius is on the OFR7, but you might need to pick up some shims to correct it.

Shimming the saddles is small change compared to routing the body.

I'm actually pretty excited to have a bridge that doesn't suck* on this PWH.

*note to Ibby fanboi contingent - it's not a design flaw or anything against the EdgeLoPro per se, it's just over 17 years of hard use mine's pretty much worn out by now.

Cosmo Black/Black Chrome should be outlawed. Now that EU is not using black plating, the rest of the guitar world can have worn hardware too. My 20 yr old Black Edge is the best bridge I've ever had.

I went ahead and got the bridge from Rich anyway, which means my Ibanez guitars will be cosmo free in a couple of days.

I am not getting anything from my local Ibanez dealer, they put shit on the sales floor at list price, and hope you're stupid enough to buy it.

Tosh, did you order an Edge or a Gotoh? There's a Gotoh chrome tremolo on ebay atm along with a gold one. I've been eyeing the bay for weeks for a black one.

I ordered a cosmo jack and chrome jackplate in may. Of 06 ETA (from today), 4 weeks

Edge. I was gonna grab that chrome Gotoh, but I'm willing to pay the extra $50 or so for something that looks right in my bridge rout.

Hit up universaljems.com. He'll get you a black one, and he's a little cheaper than GPR(that ebay place). Pretty sure he'll do international shipping.
