Wiring pots question.
So the stock pots on my UV have what looks like a capacitor soldered in between a couple of the posts.
My question is, is this something that needs to be transferred to the new pots? |

It is your tone control. Yes - its what makes it a tone rather than a volume. Why are you changing pots? If its to blackouts, they come with their own cap, if its for new pups, you really dont need new pots.

I wanted to change the pots because there's very little rolling resistance in the ibanez pots (at least on mine) so I'm constantly knocking the volume down, which gets pretty annoying.
There's actually a cap on both the volume and tone pots though... or at least what I think is a cap on one of them (it's larger and green, rather than the smaller brownish standard looking cap). |

The one on the Vol is so you keep some treble as you roll it down.
You've got your head down You've got your eyes closed You look so pitiful now Your body encrusted with ash Breath heavy with toxins Hair singed and matted Clothes frayed and burnt You are left with nothing |
