Seymour Duncan Blackouts
Hello
I was wondering if there were any reviews on these pick ups? How easy is it to install them to a non EMG routed guitar? How does the 6 string version compare to the 7 string version? How do they compare to the EMGs? Hopefully some of these questions can be answered Thanks |

There are numerous threads on this topic, including ones started by myself. Do a search and you should find all the information that you need.
In short though: the 6 and 7 versions are the same. The standard-sized 7-string Blackouts retrofit in any non-EMG guitar. Blackouts have all the benefits of EMGs, but with superior tone and fidelity IMO. If you like EMGs you'd like these, but a lot of people who otherwise don't like active pickups love the Blackouts. For more detailed information, like I said do a search, this has all been covered many times ![]() |

When you first open up the Pickups section there are sticky threads that remain up at the top (the ones in bright blue) that are usually frequent topics/commonly asked questions or important info.
One of them is about this exact topic:http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/pic...ll-thread.html That should have what you're looking for. ![]() |
