![]() | Can I use Blackout AND Emg in one guitar? I have been thinking recently of having my ol' Ibby slightly renovated. It has been collecting dust ever since I got my Blackjack a year ago but recently I have re-discovered it and decided that it wasn't such a bad axe after all (although I still prefer the Blackjack for its comfortable neck profile, better sound qualities and overall finish). Anyway, back to the topic. I am intending to move the EMG 707 I have in the bridge to the neck position (to replace the crappy stock pup) and get a Blackout for the bridge (just to try out something new). Will they work together? Can I wire them together no problem? Thanks |

You can run the EMG on 18V and the blackout on 9V, you'll just have to run different wires, one from the full 18V to the EMG, one from the midpoint of the 18V mod to the blackout, if that's what you want to do of course! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | you can run it in 18V anyways, but it just wouldn´t do much for the blackout. that´s what i´ve understood anyways? but yeah, if you´re just using the EMG in the neck position, you could just run it 9V :P -------------------------------------- Æn Æppl Æ Dæi, Kiips De Dåktor Awæi |
