I could post a pic of the wiring if any of you guys need it, since I have no idea what I'm looking at when I look inside of it

I'm getting a seriously shitty sound out of my new 7620 (which is fitted with a DSonic and Air Norton) and I figured it was because the tone knob was all the way down.

try de-soldering the tone knob, so it´s not connected, and see if it makes a difference... if it sounds nice, just leave the tone knob like that, if you don´t use it, why would you have it there? :P

when you remove the tone knob, you get a brighter and clearer sound as well, so you might actually like it

but you should show us how you wired it, or try to explain it, so someone could examine it.
