EMG In Guitar Effects (Afterburner etc.)
Can they be used on non-EMG guitars? And is there any difference between using them with EMGs vs. passives?

Yes you can use them in non emg guitars. Im pretty sure it works them same with active and passive pickups its basicaly a built in boost pedal
 never thought of it like this if im right this would be alot easier than having extra cables for a boost pedal. |

Emg's Afterburner is on stock Jackson DKMG with EMG-HZ (passive pickups), I've got one on my 7321 w/ D-activators, awesome for leads or blastering riffs that needs you more gain ^^.

I had one on my carvin when it came (used), worked great. i didnt really use it much, but it did its job as well as you could ask
