take the bridge out. Open up the backplate, pry each of the springs off (I'd go left, right then center) and then take out the bridge with the strings attached. Do your thang and then pop it back in.

yeah it's all good man i finished about 7 hours ago haha, i dreaded i was going to have to do that if i was going to have to turn the pickup upside down, and i did, goddamit! but it's done, and it sounds beautiful
