You can fit a Gotoh battery box just on the flat surface around the trem back cover on an S. You'd also be surprised what can fit in the control cavity with a little smart thinking. We've even hidden a battery in an old S-Classic, the old one with the two top mount discs with the pots on them that seems impossible to find pictures of.

It's not so much that it won't fit, just not with my unplanned, hurried "I wanna get these fucking things in my guitar finally" electronic scheme. Which will be redone at some stage anyway, after I fix the routes some more.

Wich all have pickup mounting rings. I seriously consider putting some on my S since i can't stand direct mounted pickups anymore. I like to fool around with pickup height.
