Blackouts are here! Also, I am a n00b, so help if you can!

Before you go on, please remember I am a n00b. Look to the left, under my name. Look at the title, and remember :xvisan00b:

I got the Blackouts today. I was expecting just the hardware, meaning, just the pickups. I did get them. And wire. I was not expecting this. See, with my EMG's, I popped them out of their clips and switched them. These Blackouts have wires running out of them. Which means that I will have to solder.

Right?

Webcam pics.

i see the wire, but not where it's going. the wiring schematic on SD's site for the 6 string blackouts clearly show that is has a quik connect. kind of weird if yours doesnt.

Mine has a quik connect as shown in comparison with the EMG, but it also has wire. Which the EMG does not have.

These are used Blackouts. I did not want to spend 170 on something I may not like, so someone sold me just the hardware (BO + screws/springs) for a little more than half pc.

you dont need to use the wire jsut use the quick connect thing and either wrap up the wire and leave it under the pickup (if it fits) or snip it off

I will not snip it off, because knowing me, I will be stupid and do something wrong. Can I wrap it with tape, do I need to seal off the ends?

Just make sure none of the ends are touching each other and tape them off.

Good luck fitting all that in though with the unsnipped wire.

It's not fitting.

Are you 1000,000% sure it'll work if I snip it off?
