Yeah, i emailed him and he was really friendly and informative. The forums over there have a ton of clips and people who have some more experience with them also.

IMO the Lundgren website is pretty slick, with the soundclips and everything.

I've always wondered, do the 7 string pickups come with covers? And if not will they make them with covers?

He already told me they wouldn't make ones to fit in an EMG route, not even for more money, but I forgot to ask about the covers.

Ah well It's not like I can afford them now anyway.

Excellent review Cody, I find it hard to explain the sound of the Nailbomb but what you wrote is exactly what I hear from mine. I was blown away by the clarity especially the low strings, I never imagined that a pickup could sound like that and be so full and clear, I was in shock when I first played mine.

Someone get a move on and sell me your B7 or CST before I spend my money on something else I don't really want

Fraid not man. There aren't any companies that make them unfortunately, and Tim simply can't justify the outlay the equipment would cost them. Likewise with getting mulitcoloured bobbins on the 7-string models - they'd have to buy the machine themselves and they couldn't do that without raising the price of the pickups they sell, which Tim refuses to do.

I don't think it really makes much difference - they all go to the same place. I think I tend to use sales@bareknucklepickups.co.uk.

Since you're in the UK, you should definitely try calling instead - much easier to talk things through, and you never get pressurised into buying anything.

The 7 string Nailbomb can be heard here
New tune - "Condemn Him To The Handibus" (Mesa/Orange/S7320/Nailbomb/Superior)

Install notes: These have the screws that come through the back of the pickup. We trimmed them down to install them because otherwise they would not fit in the stock Ibanez route, and unfortunately, didn't trim them enough and now I can't lower the pickup much further than it is already.
