Commencing new sanding projects...

i suddenly got the urge to start up my sanding and finishing projects again, and i´m going to totally sand the RG that is half-sanded at the moment, but the main project is gunna be my telecaster that´s been laying around... i´m going to sand it, fill a hole that´s too large for it´s screw, and then i´m going to stain it... with tea and coffee!

i´m gunna TEABAG IT

anyways, it won´t be done until i get new pickups, neck screws and a volume pot for it, but at least it´ll look awesome till that time comes around :P

btw, does anyone know a logical reason for Ibanez putting a paper-thin quilted maple top on my RG, only to cover it´s ass up with like a centimetre of hard black paint? :P i was hoping the wood was going to look like that, until it just got sanded away, and now there are a couple of ugly glossy-ish spots on the guitar, where the maple was... i´m going to sand it away completely though, and get rid of the paint that is still on the rest of the body, as it´s kinda see-through at this stage, with an ugly ass-ish green tint :P

Maybe it was originally going to be the body for a higher end guitar, but it didn't pass QC?

yeah, it´s got to be something weird like that, but it was sad, because it was either horrible color and finish, but pretty quilted maple, or nice finish and just basswood :P

i wanted to just barely sand down to it, so i could oil it up an keep it like that, but it was like slicing a page from the bible in half with a cheese grater :P

i´m looking forwards to the Tele though, i´m gunna mess it up so much... put out cigarettes in it, spill shit on it (but not too much, don´t want the wood to soak :P)
