Well, I tried to use that diagram to put DiMarzios in my 2127x (same as yours, only transparent black finish) and it didn't go so well. I pulled that ridiculous 5-way switch out and put a standard one in. Got the RG7620 wiring diagram (which I have attached to this message), put it all together. It was a pain in the ass, for sure, but it worked out well. Have your tech take a look at that.

the one on project guitar iirc is a modified wiring done by kevan.
i dont know where to find the original wiring

if he leaves everything else alone, he should be able to swap the pickups just using the same wire colors (note that the blue on ibanez pickups is green on dimarzios)

Reverse Headstocks or Bust

If i took it to a tech, i sure as hell would expect HIM to know this stuff if he had any idea what he was doing.
Sorry, i'm no help, but i'd get a discount for his services since your having to track shit down for him.

I have to agree with Chris. Any tech a)worth his salt and b)not a halfwit would RESEARCH, not ask the customer to help him. Otherwise...why pay him so much money? You're paying for skilled labour.

Tell him about why people use the internet...or find a better tech.

as long as he didnt unwire the piezo, a new pickup install should be 4 wires switched per pickup. and its simply replacing them, no fancy new wiring

Thats what I don't get. The only thing that could possibly complicate matters is EMG's, but Dimarzio's don't require a mod to pots, output jacks, or the AB/B switch for the piezo/mag mix.
