It should come with a little base, the soldering gun I'm getting.

Any type of solder will work? I thought it was mandated I get Rosin Core.

The iron should come with a base, I was just trying to be humorous.

You can use any type of solder you like. Flux is a chemical agent that helps solder run smooth on connections. I use this on tourmaline crystal pressure transducers we use, because the solder connections are usually a long line, so it helps to apply the solder in that particular pattern much easier.

Rosin core solder is the same principle. It contains a core of flux, so for me and the way I solder, it seems to help make the drops very stable on drop connections.

I just want you guys to replace this damn refrigerator I bought on manager's special. It's broken 4 times. Well, technically 3 with repair, and now it has another issue and I just want a replacement at this point, not another repair.

As long as you are doing that you just may want to pick up a Guitar Work Station from American Musical Supply. Just add Add $15.04 to your order for FREE Ground Shipping to the lower 48 states.

Alright, so as long as I got some solder that I can buy, I'm good. Any particular length/width or whatever?

And yeah I think if it breaks 4 times due to mechanical, they give you a brand new one. 18004MYHOME

Length won't really matter. I don't know what the diameter is off the top of my head, but I'll take a look when I get home.

Supposed to, until you call. I called (for the 4th time) and they told me to call GE. I think I'm going to have to go up to the store in person.

Yeah dude, that friggin' sucks. I work in hardware, good thing there's barely anything like that. If someone really needs an air compressor or a saw, they're not gonna bullshit around, they'll drop the 200 it costs.

Refrigerators, though...
