Big differences between F-spaced and regular?

I have a fixed bridge...but it came with locking nuts.

Basically it was routed for a floyd, owner took it off, fixed bridge, with fine tuners and a locking nut.

Do I HAVE to get F-spaced or if I get regular does it matter?

If it has a Fender style bridge, you should get F-spaced (or Trembucker in Seymour Duncan terminology). If it's a Gibson style bridge, you do not.

This space intentionally left blank.

Not strictly true. All TOM bridges could be construed as 'Gibson-style bridges'.

If it is a TOM, your best bet is to measure the E-e spacing (from the centre of each of the two saddles) and look up the measurements of standard and F-spaced humbuckers (I would but I'm at work right now). Although as far as I'm aware, your standard OEM TOM tends to be the wider of the two

Wow what kind of retro-fitted bridge is that?

I dont know why, but that guitar just looks so damn cool! the locking nut should be a moot point too, since it's got fine tuners.

Not a fucking clue, man, but when I saw it, I snapped it up.

Basically, the guy took out the trem, used some plastic or whatever, drilled it in, then put this bridge over it.

Its a Schaller system. Its featured as OEM on all Caparison 'HGS' guitars, and its a fucking incredible bridge. Sturdy and solid.

Are the saddle points at the same place as the floyd/edge/whatever that was in there? It just looks to me (due to the fill-in piece underneath) that the intonation could be off and the scale might not be 25.5? Its definitely one of the better floyd-to-hardtail conversions I have seen.
