Look pretty spot on to me, Mesh.

Remember, there's a space between the edge of the route and the trem so it can move forward, then the trem posts, then you have the space in front of the saddle where the intonation bolt locks down, so you're looking at at least 1cm or so before the string leaves the saddle.

True dat. I guess I am not used to seeing that space in front of the saddles like this. Its actually an awesome option.

Best thing is I can't find this anywhere except on Caparisons. The guitar alltogether cost me 375!

Well, I just wanted to add that with Duncans, in most cases, you don't actually need the trembuckers. I've never had a problem with a standard JB in any of my old Jacksons, and I know that Mike will tell you the same. If anything, I would avise against trembuckers, since most of them, in my opinion, sound like shit. They're hotter, thinner version of the standard pickups, since it appears they are using the same number of winds, which changes the tone (since the bobbins are longer).

Dimarzio doesn't appear to have this problem, since (to me) it looks like their F-spaced pickups are simply different pole piece spacing on the same length bobbins.

yeah i think that bridge was actually discontinued. i emailed Schaller once asking if they had any plans to make a 7-string version, they said no....very disappointing, because it looks like an awesome bridge, and i'd love to have a system like that on a 7. i'd imagine the tuning stability must be amazing with the locking nut.

It's pretty good. I don't have to unlock the screws and shit, just tune it boom!

So Edroz if I'm getting a Tone Zone, should I get an F-Spaced one?

The Schaller Floyd is an OFR with case hardened inserts, as opposed to the entire baseplate being case hardened. Other than that, it is basically the same.

if you're going with Dimarzios for that, judging from your pics, the F-Spaced looks to be what you need

it's wierd, years ago (maybe 10? ) before i knew the difference between F-Spaced and standard spaced, i bought a Dimarzio super distortion (standard spaced) for my Ibanez USRG30, had it installed and my low E was the only string not lined up with a pole piece, and there was a considerable volume drop only on that string. i don't have this problem at all with the standard spaced SD Custom 5 in my RG550, or any Dimarzio 7 string pickup for that matter
