um... the "old" 18v mod is REVERSIBLE too, of course soldering is involved. but it's like a 5 minute job.

the only benefit of doing it the "new" way is that you can go from 18v to 9v quicker. but honestly, after 18v modding EMGs, why would you wanna go back to 9v

also, what happens if you go 18V on something not meant to do that? :P

cause my bass has active electronics, and i´m wondering what 18V would do to that...

and the Agile baritone i´m getting has active pickups... wondering if they could handle 18V too! :P

also, what happens to battery life when you do this? does it last longer, shorter, or the same?

I plan on keeping my 18v mod on any guitar I get.
