So now the knife edge is really scraped up and it's annoying even getting it back into position..

so how would i go about fixing this?.. this is my first floyd-equipped guitar so i'm not used to dealing with them.

They're not like the edge trems, they actually will fall off a bit until you get it back in place. chances are its just scratched superficially. Once you get tension back on it and get it in the grooves it should stay in there fine.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.

adamgiroux is a jewel in the rough
i've fixed it now and I realised that it really wasn't damaged as badly as i thought. it was sort of the position of it that made it look really bad.. but its back to normal and works fine now
thanks for all the help though!

I'll make sure to put it in a hard case from now on. I normally do..but I guess i was being lazy last night.

On a side note, i got myself an allen wrench holder for the back of my headstock so I don't get stranded somewhere without one again.

don't carry your guitars in the trunk unless you absolutely have no choice....especially during extreme cold or heat. obviously this is a little less important if you've got a hatchback or minivan or something, but if they're gonna be thrown in with other gear that could move around, you should always use a hard case.
