Fernandes Sustainer... in a 7 string?

I got a Fernandes Sustainer (FSK101) for Christmas, and of course it's the six-string model, as as far as I know the 7-string one isn't available for standard consumption.

However, does anyone know if the magnetic field for the sustainer is large enough for me to center-mount it and have it work on all of the strings of a seven string guitar? It'd look pretty ugly, but I'm just curious more than anything.

It only showed up on a few custom shop 7-string Revolvers... for all intents and purposes it doesn't exist.

I doubt it would work on all 7 strings, but if I were you I'd order some magnetic viewing paper from EMG so you can see the size of the magnetic field and measure it before you go to the trouble of installing it in your 7.

Actually they DID have a production 7 string Revolver with a Sustainer for like a minute or two. I used to own one, it's very RG-esque save for the Alder body which made it "interestingly bright". They show up on Ebay from time to time. I'd kill to have mine back.

No, but you can use the electrical hardware to push a custom built driver coil. Youd have to make a new sustainer unit (which actually, is quite easy) and hook that up to the circuitry. Its literally like a pickup coil, but it seems optimized using a bar pole (not a magnet mind you, just a pole), using a way lower wind of around 5k and thicker wire, and using small neodymium magnets to keep size down
