Battery LED indicator

Hi all, i am installing a LED indicator for the 9Volt. battery of my EMG pickup, so it warns me when the battery is empty. I have 1 vol knob, 1 killswitch and 1 EMG 81-7. The LED should light and stay on when i operate the killswitch and the battery was good.

I installed one but it caused slight signal distortion. Anyone can tell me the proper way to do it so it does not affect to signal quality?

Thank you.

Could that actually work without putting extra resistance on the power line? I'd imagine that could cause a problem.

In any language that you learn to speak -- love is twisted and defined as weak

TheMissing's GAScon status: GAScon 3... New geetar... But now I need to find a new pickup...

Guitarelectronics.com Inc. 9 Volt Low Battery Indicator for Active Pickups & Electronics

Edir: ... but this thing does the opposite: lights when batt is LOW.

that's a pretty cool idea....doubt it would work with an 18V setup though, which is what i have.
