A rather stupid problem
My volume pot is coming loose. Your going to tell me to unscrew the knob and tighten the nut right?
Well, the knob itself was coming loose a few months ago, so I lok-tite'd it on. and now it won't come off. doh! Ideas? |

Which Loctite? If you used the blue, you should be able to get it off - just keep wedging picks under the knob while spinning. If you used red, you'll probably have to be more creative - find a reaaaallly thin wrench to get under the knob, break the knob off and replace the pot, etc.

Ah!
Grip the knob with a set of pliers (wrapped in something if you dont want to mark it) and the pot through the control cavity with another set, and go from there... |

You could try taking a lighter or something and heating up the nut, just be careful not to burn your guitar
I had to take my torch type butane lighter to the arm retention thingy on my lo pro when I did the OFR arm mod, and it worked like a charm. I just don't know how you'd protect your finish... |

I think if Stitch's trick doesn't work, I will administer the hacksaw and then replace the knob (I want a cooler looking one anyway
)I don't feel safe with any sort of heat source near my guitar, but thanks for the suggestion. |

I thought he used loctite on the nut, not the knob
In that case it's easy to heat the knob up. |
