As long as gauges are being mentioned, I like their 10-52 with a 68, mostly because of the reason Zimbloth mentioned. 46 to a 68 is just whack.

Hi zimbloth, i would like to ask you a couple of questions that came up to my mind while reading your post:

Are not bass strings supposedly to be more more muddy than the guitar counterpart? Or does it balance fine with the rest of the set, in terms of brightness?

Do you mean that fixed bridges make the same string gauge feel tighter? I ask you this because i have played always with trems and have no clue about this phenomenom.
