Hellraiser EMGs to Blackouts

So Im gonna get a Hellraiser 7 soon, and normally im not a fan of the EMG sound, so I am probably going to try and Blackout it.

Does the EMG 707s have the quick connect crap on it? And does the blackouts connect that way also? Or am I going to have to solder it like most pickups??

Just curious.

Awesome. That would make work easier because I probably only can afford one blackout for now with the guitar, and dunno if it'd be better suited for neck or bridge.. We'll see how the EMG 707 sounds first though, but I've never enjoyed EMGs before so I dont see that changing.

The EMG 707s have the quickconnect thing, and are sitting on two little foam pads, so there should be plenty of room to stuff the Blackout wire if you decide not to snip it off.

I think all pickups should have the quick connect thing on it. It would be awesome to be able to swap a pickup in 5 minutes or less.

Didn't Tony Iommi once experiment with a similar idea in one of his SGs? I remember him talking about a guitar with a ton of different pickups that you slid in from the back, and they just clipped in place...

i've been meaning to get that setup going in my rg. just basically make my own quick connect stuff. i just dont want to buy 5000 connecters

and they are as expensive as hell one at a time, like 5 bucks a pop

Dude, nick, you try the 18v mod? i mean, im not saying its for everyone, but it might fix things (its what made me start liking emg's) and its cheap as shit, just pick up an extra battery connecter at radio shack. Just something inexpensive to try before buying new pups
