Tune-O-Matic Bridge

Does anyone have anything to say about that bridge? My dealer suggested installing that on my custom order.

its either a tune-o-matic, or a b.c rich wrap around.

Works great. Get a Tonepros or a Gotoh model as they have more room for adjustment and don't have to worry about retaining wire buzz or saddles falling out. They've also got studs and bushings with slothead adjustment rather than just screwing into the body Gibson-style.

tune-o-matic bridges are my favorite, imo they sound and feel hte best.

some people dont like them tho.

Both of my guitars have TOM's. And my third will too, in about a month

They are great.

As I said I am a total noob when it comes to guitar, this is my first guitar. (if you have read my other topic ). Yes I know its a custom, so you don't have to bring that part up xD

Its meant to be a Chuck Schuldiner replica stealth. The body is 100%, carved and finished being painted.

Pickups: DimarzioX2N

he insists to install the tune-o-matic instead of the bridge Chuck's guitar came with. I don't know if that is a better choice, or if a different bridge would effect sound that much?

Also thats for the quick replies! If you guys can reply to this one fast that would be great.

what bridge came on chucks guitar. not that big of a chuck guy, although i respect him, dont pay alot of attention.
on a side note, get a different custom shop builder, now. if youre paying for a custom, the guy should make suggestions, but shouldnt really "insist" on something when you still want another. if he doesnt want to build it your way, he doesnt have to, and you dont have to pay him to. just get someone compatible with you

or at least have this builder explain what he feels are the pros and cons of each bridge and reasons why he prefers one over the other.

yeah. i understand why a builder might refuse to do certain things, but unless he can validate that in a way thats sound and convincing, find someone else. no offense to him, but spend your money on what you want
