What do i do?
No. They are clearer than EMGs, but not brighter. The 707 actually has a harsher attack than either of the Blackout models. If you do like the sound of the 707 but just want something better, try the Neck model in the bridge. If you want something that's not as bassy and is more tight & focused, go with the bridge model. Can't go wrong

The thought of putting these in my Loomis gets more tempting all the time.
All maple with a rosewood fretboard. It was a pretty shrill beast with the 707. Since the Blackout bridge version is supposed to be the equivalent of an EMG-81, I was worried that it would be even more trebly. Not at all. My Jackson just magically acquired the massive low-end punch that it had been missing all along. And the sound is overall much smoother than the 707, with none of that 'raspiness' at the top end.

The bridge model absolutely slays, I've acheived amazing doom tone. I'm quite happy

I still much prefer a Jazz neck over the Blackout neck though.

Damn, I'm hearing so many good things about the Blackouts that I'm reconsidering buying the new EMG 707-TWs...

Blackouts or lovely EMG-SA single coil tones? arrghhh tough decision

Cheers for clearing that up. I might grab the new C7 blackjack soon so i'll switch the neck blackout in that for the bridge 707 in my loomis. Sorted!
Wait...are they quick-connect?
