The pickup

The victim- My RG570EX Note the Moose/reindeer of metalness.

4 hours later

Its a humbucker made by a british company called Irongear, I dunno if they hand wind them, but at £23 I really can't complain. I don't see how they could make too much of a profit either way, unless the get the made in China.

It sounds far better than my modded V7 pickup.

Yes....it took me four hours to unsolder 3 wires and solder 3. Its because the stupid Ibanez wiring diagram is backwards, so I ended up unsoldering all the pickups by accident and even now my bridge/middle coil tap doesnt work, and the whole 5 way switch is backwards

But its OK, I don't use position 2 anyway.

Do you have and Ibanez wiring diagram?
Get the one for the 7620 if the wires are coded like Dimarzios.

I got the RG570 one off the Ibanez site, I did it exactly as it is on the diagram, and somehow it wound up backwards (doesn't really bother me though)

Also the red wire on the new pickup isn't the same as the red wire on the stock V8/S1s, so one of the coil tap positions is now out of phase.
