![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree with this thread! I've never had a hell of a lot of interest in actives before as EMGs don't do much for me, but I do plan to get some Blackouts at some point, largely because I was so impressed with how SD handled the whole thing, particularly on the 7-string front. Thanks again, Frank! ![]() "Tom, you're like 1 part a serious dork, and 2 parts the most awesome fucking guy ever." - ![]() guitargeek.com style rig diagram Pics of my gear Virtual studio tech testing ground Last.FM |

![]() ![]() | I am really leaning towards blackouts for my 7. I have not heard them, but the thoughtfulness of designing them to be direct replacements for my Ibby is selling me big time. If I like them, I might swap my EMG's out for them. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Wow, thanks you guys. I don't know what to say. I am blessed to even be here, and from Cathy and Seymour, to the shipping department, engineering to manufacturing, operations, man I'm telling you everyone here considers the customer first. They truly are listening. As a matter of fact I have a focus group to lead next Thursday at NAMM, where we'll be doing more listening. That's what the company has been about since the beginning. Even when I'm talking to Seymour about insignificant things, or if a beginner guitarist (who hardly even knows what they want) is talking to him, he's always listening. There's a selflessness about him that sets a great example for everyone. I mean, he could be so full of himself, or arrogant like some of these other "icons" in the industry, boasting about his accomplishments, or telling everyone what HE thinks they should do, etc. but he's just not that way. It's really the best environment I can think of to work in. |

A dram is a small amount of liquid, generally used to refer to a glass of Scotch whiskey. A Scotsman would never order a glass of Scotch. He would order a dram of Scotch. That term is reserved for all other whiskeys. Irish whiskey, bourbon, Tennessee Sipping Whiskey, you name it. Go back to hard cider. ![]() http://www.wolf.org |
