pickguard swap on UV777BK

So, the heading says "Pickups, etc... and other hardware, so I thought I'd sneak this in.

I bought another black UV off Jemsite because I got a good price, but I hate the mirror pickguards on them. The price I got allows me to replace the guard with something else. I was going to get a plain MOTS guard, but saw some at a pickguard place near me (also a Jemsite sponsor) and was looking at them.

The reason for this post is that the white pearl ones look plain, but the others don't look like abalone too much. Would one of these vaguely blue ones go on a UV? I'm tempted to go with the one that says 'powder'. Any thoughts?

I'd email them beforehand to make sure they're made for the seven, but I think they should work.

If you're interested in unloading the mirrored one, I'd be all over that.

You can have it Chris, FOC. I emailed them a few times about the sizing and wait times and such, and they said they got their templates from Ibanez and that they'd redo it if it didn't fit. So, in that regard the place looks fine. It's really down to color. The white looks too plain to me, but might fit the best.

Powder looks hot, although depending on how accurate the colors are and the particular shade of the inlays, teal might be a pretty good match, too. Also, Silver could look quite dramatic...

I saw that, logged onto Jemsite for the first time in like 3 months a few days back. Nice score.

Yeah, I spend a lot of time in the Jemsite classifieds, as you can imagine! The silver would probably look most like it was stock, but it isn't my favorite.
I have to say I'm very, very pleased with this UV. It has an awesome jazz sound to it. I'll probably go with powder or teal, but I won't decide until Monday. Maybe a few Sam Adams Cherry Wheats will give me inspiration

Congrats, Jim on another UV. Powder will look cool as well as teal. If I had two, one would be modded but I dont even own one. I have a PWH but that is staying the way it is.
