How close are the strings to the pickups is my other suggestion - my mates 1527 had exactly the sound you describe. New strings and a slight adjustment of pickup height helped sort it out.

ok well i adjusted the trem. It wasnt touching the bar at all, about an inch from it : / lol so i did adjust it so it was touching, retuned and i still get this "static" sustain after playing notes. I also lowered the pickups, didnt help. I always thought it was just my distortion before i blamed the guitar but i plugged in my sc607 and i get no static shit or buzzing and the sustain is ALOT longer. haha possibly because its neck thru and doesnt have shitty stock PU's? lol who knows.
also how far should the actual bridge be sinking into the body? Ok here are some pics, sorry for the quality, its the best my camera can do lol. heres the Bar, looks fine: ![]() Here are the PUs: ![]() ![]() Only thing left to try is changing the strings because they still feel veeerry floppy. I have some 58s ill try. a million double posts lol, but anyway im going to post a clip soon. Its going to be a shitty clip but you will get the point i think Ok here is a clip, using a shitty microphone from my headset lol. This is the general idea of what it sounds like. All im doing in the first few seconds is sliding over 2 frets. Let the clip load for a few seconds Click here to watch Crap-24 Last edited by Zoltta; 11-29-2007 at 10:54 PM. sheesh
wtfuck is that? thats wierd. that really sounds like bad wiring. does it do that unplugged at all? or can it only be heard when amped up. sounds to me like you just need to resolder all of the connections. shiiiiit thats gay

Only does that when amped up. This sucks if its an electronics problem. But i now noticed, it only does this for the bottom few strings, and the higher i got the more it does it. So my guess is, its hitting the other frets and the bridge needs to be raised a smidge. Yay or nay?
Edit: WOOHOO, alright, all i needed to do it raise the action on the trem......lol....i figured that from the first place. It seems it was only a fret buzz. I was wondering why the trem was so deep into the body. EVerything is good now. Thanks everyone for the help, much appreciated. |

![]() wierd. and you couldnt hear it unplugged? that was some dramatic ass buzz. i've never heard it that bad before. one would imagine that if it was that bad you would be able to hear it acoustic. stupid sciencephysix thats fucking wierd |

yeah i know, it is pretty wierd. Maybe it was to the point to where it BARELY was in contact with something and made that fast flutter and was enough to hear it acoustic. Idk either way its fixed haha.

Its funny cause, i have never heard any complaints so far, everyone said their shit was set up perfectly out of the box and needed no adjustments. maybe i just got the shit end of the stick. but no biggie
