So it would go somrthing like this. 1. Neck pickup series 2 Coils of both pickups closest to the neck in parallel. 3 Both pickups out of phase 4 Same as two but coils wired is series 5 Bridge humbucker. It is doable? I think a push pull pot is your safest bet in all honesty, as then pos 3 can be either both humbuckers in series (which is nice) or the humbuckers out of phase with each other. More options is always good! | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | just have to say that i tried this out last night on my guitar, with what james has done to it, and it's amazing. and i do actually feel really proud that work done on my axe has warranted this much thread discussion, but i can take nothing in the way of credit as it's james who's managed to get his head round it and i have NO idea how he did so. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | guys, bit of a bump on this one and sorry for the age-old thread revivial. i'm now needing to replicate this wiring in the custom from roter, is anyone in a position to provide a succint diagram of what's listed as the first post on here so that we know absolutely down to the last bolt what's to go in to my new axe? sound simple enough? not quite. i'm perverting it by instead of it being the volume & tone pots as push/pull, it's now: - 5 way pickup selector - on/off switch for coil tapping - on/off switch for phase - 1 volume pot with a killswitch push-pull i'd like to keep the config for the 5 way the same if possible. and this is to supply from 2 BKP warpigs. cheers all in advance! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 1) Wire the neck pickup to the phase reverse. 2) Output phase reverse into neck side of coil tap 3) Bridge into bridge side of coil tap After that it's simply a case of wiring from different points in that circuit to achieve different 5-way combinations. If I redid that today, I'd have made position 4 into the neck humbucker in parrallell (or the bridge, or something like that) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i so hate being a techno-dunce. i just don’t understand wiring or circuits at all, all i do know is that overnight my RG went from being a standard 7 to having a library of completely screwed up and amazingly different sounds. plus, if you start reconfiguring switches, pushing and pulling pots and punching in passcodes into the bridge pickup keypad, the bitches go crazy. they moisten for my laz0rs. seriously dude, i was playing that medium sized amphi-theatre at pompeii two saturdays ago, you know the one with the purple main dressing room? well they’ve rigged it with this new water feature that flows infront of the first 2 rows, it’s well wickla, anyway, i’m nearing the end of my 3rd seventeen minute solo after the in-reverse cover of enigma’s ‘sadeness’ and i decide to flick onto the 2nd position on the pickup selector, out of phase and tapping my coil up to the third knuckle (i know man, dig it), i sweep into this legato 5 part harmony, so there i am duetting away with myself and all of a sudden this ketamin-crazed cock wasp just launches herself at my left leg, but this is the weirdest bit, right - she’s got the keys to my car clenched in her teeth…(?) i mean, i don’t even have a car. it’s nuts. anyway, would anyone be able to do a diagram? i love you all so hard.
