I got a duncan distortion today for 36$. an seven string one btw, and im going to put a bareknuckle warpig in the biridge and duncan in the neck. I EXPECT GREATNESS

The Duncan Distortion is harsh and thin. If you really got one for that cheap, I'd sell it for $50 and get something else

There's way better Duncan models for the neck IMO. That said, give it a shot, for $36 why not?

actually, most people seem to think that the stock neck New7 isn't as bad as the bridge. i wouldn't call you crazy for straight up throwing away the bridge New7, but hang onto the neck one, if you're replacing it with a $36 pickup

With an Alnico 5 or 8 that would be a much better neck pickup. If you can find a 7-string-wide 2, even better. It would work great split.
