Bridge pickup for a mahogany 7?

Heeyyyaaa!
Please help me find a perfect brigde pickup for my HRG7.
I'm searching for a ballsy, thick sound that's not too tight or "screechy."
A pickup that let's the natural tone of the wood come out.
Nothing too modern, though.

The music I play is close to Callisto and Isis.
Would a Dimarzio Blaze Custom do the trick?

I think the Evolution 7 is the best bridge pickup DiMarzio makes for mahogany. It's ballsy, but with superb attack and growl. It's just awesome. Great for leads or heavy rhythms. It also sounds a lot better than the 6-string version.

The Blaze Custom would exaggerate the tonal properties of mahogany and not be a good fit in my opinion. It also lacks in the clarity department as it has a fairly noticible high-end roll-off. I think the blaze would be a better fit, but they can sound 'screechy' sometimes too.

I am extremely confident you'd love the Evo7 in the bridge of your guitar.

I'm also looking at the Evo for my schecter 007. Any ideas for a decent single coil match in the neck?

the only thing 'hi output' i can find (on paper at least) is the muy grande. unless i wanna go boutique, which i kinda dont (lack patience and $$$).

Evo7 for sure, but X2N7 is a good choice too

I'd get a Bare Knuckles Warpigs (alnico V), it's both powerfull, raw, not too tight or screechy, exactly what you want.

if you get a bareknuckle, its boutique. but its totally worth it, and he can rewind the neck pickup for you. so for around, say, $200 youd be getting a really badass set of pickups. better than the what, 360 im paying for 2 bkp 7 string humbuckers

Dimarzio won't do the trick for you needs...

What you really want is an SD Custom... Monster balls, just the right amount of treble and an overall great sound for some Isis type stuff!

Combine it with and SD Jazz in the neck for the best combo!

i'm putting an sd custom and a jazz in an s7320 until i get my bareknuckles lol!
except im swapping the mag in the custom to alnico 8

Yeah I actually thought that the SD Custom could also suit my style.
Rio Grandes could be another good option too.
It's a shame that those pickups are so hard to find in europe.

Bareknuckles would be awesome, but I'm broke.

lol, i dont know the exchange rate between finland and the uk, but its gotta be better than here. We get the worst deal on bareknuckles EVER.
