Swineshead pickups

Umm, no, not really how I would describe it. It's got some good low midrange to it. I was kind of hoping it's have a little more higher mid's, though. It's almost like a Gibson bridge pickup with a little bit more balls, but it's not a smasher-devourer type pickup.

Actually, it sounds like a beefed up CL 7, but if you never tried a Swineshead, you wouldn't be able to relate to that one.

The tone is definately more of a classic rock tone than a metal tone. It sounds great with a Fender Hot Rod, and really good with a Mesa/Boogie, but it lacks character with most distortion pedals (works best with overdrive).

edit: I think I'll buy the Dimarzio PAF7 & Blaze Custom combo.
