![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | it says in your rig you have a fender amp? that isn't exactly going to give you bone rattling crunch. try using a boost in front of the amp, might help. fenders are rather clean amps, with kind of a scooped sound, so a eq in front would likely help as well. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | eq and boost, as has been suggested. i might actually suggest a big muff for a distortion, as the cleanliness of the emg's wont mud out through that. Fenders do not push. they are amazing clean amps, nothing beats an old fender reverb amp. but they have no crunchiez. The pope fears framus cobras, Mesa Triple Recs, and Engl Fireballs. The pope dont fear no fender. Dont get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with needing extra push. My marshall needs it, otherwise i would never be able to get more crunch than eric clapton, but you cant expect not to give it the push if it needs it Reverse Headstocks or Bust Dude...i just got a spam email that was titled "Funky date rape trick" -Zepp88 I just got another funny email "Her pussy smiled at me" -Zepp88 Don't tell me you haven't heard of Raptor Jesus It's important that you know this information :headnod: It will decide your fate when we are pwned. -JoeOvChaosI was going KAT KAT KAT KAT and you were going KAT... chk... Look at s/h 6505/5150's, etc. I'm not sure what your budget is, but at this stage, you need an amp that is of a similar quality to your guitar. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | save your money. it would help, but keep that fender for groove tunes (biamping is the shit) and grab a used 5150 like stitchy here says. you can get em decently cheap, and those slay under the right settings |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The EMG's are fine, definitely not my first choice, but they're fine. You definitely need a more suitable amp. If you only play at home you could go with the Pod X3, but you will need a good pair of speakers/headphones to get great sounds. If you play/are going to play in a band, the you should consider a good tube amp. Through the darkness of futures past The magician longs to see One chants out between two worlds Fire Walk With Me |
