Also - you don't intend to use roundwound strings do you? If you're going to use a fretless, I'd STRONGLY suggest flatwound strings for it to increase the life of the fretboard a bit. D'Addario Chromes are a good example.
I dunno, why not just keep the board epoxied and use roundwounds? Lots of fretless bass players I know go for roundwound to mimick Jaco tone.

Tymon will become famous soon enough
Yeah roundwounds sound much better imho. They have this nice purry mid to them.

Cool clips, is this your first fretless guitar? If so, then you're a quick learner!

That is way cool! Some of that stuff just mimicks whammy bar dive effects! Cool! You're making me want one as it is so odd!

How hard is it to adjust to playing with no frets?

thanks everyone :P

first, the strings i have on are roundwound, but i´m getting flatwounds ASAP... the roundwounds i have on aren´t very "coarse" though...

i only have epoxy in the fret holes, so it´s not all covered.

yeah, i know it´s ugly, but it looks a little cooler in real life... it´s a raggedy looking thing, and that´s what i wanted... i wanted it to look beaten, abused and generally old and scrappy :P

also, i´ve never played a fretless guitar before, so yeah, this is my first fretless :P

playing without frets isn´t that hard if you have fret markers, like the ones left behind from pulling the frets, or like some fretless basses, little lines in the wood... depends on your playing style though, i didn´t really have any problems... another thing that is important is how you tune it. open tunings are great for this kind of playing
