![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok, I just sold my Randall so I should have have some money soon. I'm going to buy a Tremol-No, and finally change the pickups in my 1527. I can't believe I've had the guitar for a year now and still have the stock pups. I already know I'm getting an Air Norton for the neck, but I'm having lots of trouble choosing a bridge pickup. I've been thinking about these Dimarzio's: Blaze Custom Evo 7 D-Activator 7 X2N 7 So if you peeps who have tried these pickups could share your knowledge, I'd be ever so happy. Feel free to recommend anything.I'm willing to go with a Bareknuckle in the bridge if I can't find a suitable Dimarzio. But I can only afford one Bareknuckle, so I'd still go with the Air Norton in the neck. So you BKP guys can chime in too. ![]() The sound I'm looking for is kind of a modern metal tone, balanced and tight, with a good amount of mids. Nothing too extreme. Also, it would be nice if the pup could do some djent for when I feel like it. I have the 1527 tuned to Bb most of the time. Help me out here, I'm tired of the crappy tone of the IBZ pickups! ![]() Through the darkness of futures past The magician longs to see One chants out between two worlds Fire Walk With Me |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I have the X2N7, and It's fucking awesome. PLENTY of gain, and can do djent pretty damn well too when you want it to. A friend of mine has the D-sonic 7 in his 7620 and it just sounded weak in comparison through my ENGL. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was thinking about this last night, and I'm fairly sure I'm going with a Bareknuckle (Nailbomb/Warpig/?). It just seems that all the Dimarzios have some quality to them that I want in a pickup but they always seem to have something that turns me off, too. So I'm really having a hard time choosing just one. If only I could squeeze them all into one pickup. ![]() Thanks for the responses! |

It looks like their online shop accepts Visa Electron, which is great. I was worried I might need a credit card to order. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | DS7 is an amazing all rounder! That would be my no 1 choice. The Blaze Custom would be second. The lead tone is SOOOO good it's stupid! Rhythm is pretty good too. Think the first rhythm part to Fear Factory's Freedom Or Fire and you're close. |
