Cool Let's play a pickup game

i need help picking out a combo i am familiar with the x2n7 but thats about it.

this is going in a s7420..

just lead me in whats best for chug and death metal and very smooth fluid leads.

for the bridge i am thinking either evo7 x2n7 or d sonic

for the neck i am thinking blaze, d sonic or air norton

Out of the choices given, I went with the Evo/Air Norton. The Evo has a lot of power and presence. The D Sonic might end up being just a tad dark for that style in that guitar. Depending on your tastes, the Blaze Custom might be worth looking into for the bridge, too. I chose the Air Norton for the neck because it's just a really great neck pickup. You want smooth and fluid leads? The AN has 'em.

Do an X2N7 for the bridge and an EVO7 for the neck. The Evolution 7 makes a great high power neck pickup that has very fluid tone without loss of the upper-mids, like the air norton. The X2N7 is pretty much your best all-out death metal pickup, and it'll hold up with the evo 7 without having to drop one pickup too far down.

If you don't like this option, the evo 7 and the AN 7 sound pretty good together, but they won't give as br00tal a sound.

I love my DS7 and AN7 combo in my RG8427F. It's really versatile...
