It's not just the empty cavity, it's the concept of having just another cavity in general that I'm not sure about. In my current EMG loaded guitar the batteries in the control cavity. But I guess it won't matter as much as I think it will because I'm not as picky about tone as most people. I probably wouldn't notice any significant tone loss so I'm not too worried about the cavity anymore.

As for extra electronics, I'm trying to save money here, so that's not in the picture right now. The best way to save though would just to be happy with what I have already. I thought I was over my GAS but Agile just has such great prices, which is stupid because I've never played one in person so getting one would be a bad move on my part if I got a lemon.
