![]() | Another Bareknuckle thread... I'm looking for some opinions on what Bareknuckle pickups I should put in my Ibanez S Prestige... It's a mahogany body with bubinga top, and a maple/bubinga 5 ply neck. I was thinking about a warpig bridge and a painkiller neck... I play in drop d and I'm going for a Heaven Shall Burn sound. I don't go Zakk Wylde with the artificial (pinched) harmonics, but I want the few I do to be insane. Like The Acacia Strain, I suppose... I read on another thread about someone having problems with the warpig and a mahogany body. Something about to much low end. But I don't believe I'll have that problem with the thin body and drop d... |

![]() | I would email Bareknuckles directly and describe to them what you're after. They should be able to point you in the right direction regarding pickup choice. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ibanez Ss can get very bassy from my experience at least. The Bubinga top has a pretty clear low-end too innit? Coupled with Drop D and a bassy pickup, well, I dunno. Hmm, I'd say emailing Bareknuckles would be your best bet as well. However judging from the clips I've heard, I've liked Miracle Man, Holy Diver and Nailbomb in all sorts of applications. The Warpig and Painkiller didn't really do it for me and I forgot what the Cold Sweat sounded like. ![]() holy fuck! |
