5 Way Selector(s) difference

could someone tell me the difference between these two 5 way selectors?

5-Way Pickup Switch-USA (this one is needed for that diagram below)

5-Way Import Switch Ibanez style (this is the one that had on my ibby)

here's the diagram:

i want to use this diagram for my ibanez but i got the "ibanez" style selector.

but this diagram is for the other style selector.

could this diagram still work with "ibanez" type selector or do i need that different selector.

thanx for the help people

yes. the only difference between those two switches is that the US-style one has the two banks of 4 poles on opposite sides of the switch, and the import one has the two banks of 4 poles in one big long row.

the poles might be in a different order, but most switches have tiny numbers next to the poles, 0 1 2 3. 0 is the "common" lug, and 1 2 3 are the bridge middle and neck pickup lugs. it might take you some testing to figure out the exact order of the poles. but the insides of those switches are the same and the import switch will work for that diagram.
