If you go with Dimarzios, and you get something high output for the bridge, I'd reccomend an EVO 7 in the neck. If you go low output, an Air Norton 7 gives a nice clear mix of tones. I thought the PAF 7's were decent, but the sound of them just wasn't bright enough for me, but the mid's are really sweet.

Unfortunately, I have never been 100% satisfied with any Dimarzio Bridge Pickup for a seven string. Closest for me was the EVO 7, but if you thought Blazes were too bright...hmm, maybe a Tone Zone 7? No one here seems to like them, though.
