my rg7621's pickup selector was rusty, so i tried to change the selector with a brand new one today. but it didnt work well. i couldn hear the neck pickup. tried to fix that, too but its all gone now .

the switch in all the Ibanez two-humbucker guitars, like the 7621, is a special 5-way switch. it is _not_ the same as a normal Strat-style 5-way. you probably bought a normal Strat-style 5-way and that's why it doesn't work.
