Paint type for swirl finish (video content too!)
so, i'm thinking about redoing this project guitar of mine with a swirl finish. maybe just 2 or 3 colors but i'm wondering what kind of paint i'd need to get/where i could find it at? i've been reading the very few sources (Project Guitar :: Swirling a Guitar Body) available on the web and it just seems like i need to sand my old finish, put a base coat of something (probably black or green in my case) and then do the whole dip & swirl thing.
Other than the paint, the only other real question in my mind is once i let it dry for a day or more, do i have to do anything to the finish then or is it just done and ready to go? This will be my first time redoing the color on a guitar so any advice would rule. since i said video content, here is a NICE video of a guy doing a sweet black/green swirl (what i might do  ) |

As with any finish, once the paint dries it will need clear coated.

Wish I could be more help, but I really don't know a lot about finishing. I'd do some searches here and on Jemsite, as I know there's been a bunch of discussion on swirling in the past.
