![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | One last issue until it's complete... The bolt that goes through the pickup ring -----> (this thing) ![]() doesn't fit the thread on my new pickups. They didn't come with their own bolts, or rings, so i took them off my old pickups. The bolt appears to be the right size (i think) it goes through the holes in the ring, but then doesn't screw through the hole in the pickup mounting.. a difference in thread could be the problem perhaps? (imperial/metric). Am i going to have to buy particular bolts or can I mount the pickups without the rings, like on an RG7620. And if so, how do i do that? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | you can buy new bolts. ask the pickup manufacturer what thread size the holes in the pickup baseplate are, then buy 1 inch to 1.5 inch machine screws in that thread size. Quote:
you raise and lower those pickups by putting foam rubber underneath them before you screw them down. that way, if you want to raise them, you loosen the screws a few turns and the foam rubber pushes the pickup up. weather stripping, the foam rubber "tape" that you use to seal the edges of doors, works good for this. _actual time_ : prog/math/metal/???? on myspace | |

I dont want to raise the pups on my RG7620 btw, they're perfect, i was just wondering cos it baffled me :P thanks again |
