AN7's installed!!

for those of you who wanted to know how the AN7s sound in the bridge, it sounds very harmonically rich, very clear sound, but still warm. In my opinion, these pickups pwn every other pickup I've ever tried, (accept my super distortion in my Ibanez SA160) but hands down my favorite 7 string pickup in both positions

Sound clips, perhaps? They look nice in that guitar!

Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance only hides the truth. And the longer that truth has to hide, the more it stings when it makes itself known.

word. Definitely do some scratch tracks of just noodling around, so we can hear how the pups sound in various applications. I'm particularly interested in the clean tones both high and low, and how it fairs with moderate gain in the bridge.

if you do that... i'll be happy! if not, congratz on a job well done anyway. looks sweet!

Let me rephrase that for you, as to make it more clear...

There we go... I think the message is slightly more to the point this time around!

Up the shut fuck, you must.

yes i will do that and for the metal-heads in the forum ill record a couple riffs from different bands, probably like older In Flames or something of that sort to hear both the bridge and neck positions and how clear the notes sound.. and ill also do some pinched harmonics and some whammy bar tricks to show how rich the harmonics are... =]

And for clean, if anyone is familiar with the line 6 gearbox presets, ill do a dry clean channel then one from the preset "mr clean" and ill do like a clean tapping, riff or something like that.

And if anyone has a request ill do my best to fulfill theirs! Also if someone has a preset on gearbox they want to hear with the AN7's ill be more than happy to download their preset and do a recording with that preset .

Could you do some thick chugga chugga type stuff if it's possible with these pickups? Oh and maybe some Meshuggah type riffing? I know I'm asking alot but I'm really curious as to how these pups sound!

And Mr.Clean is awesome btw one of the best clean patches!

i just wanna hear how it fairs for like real simple ringing arpeggiated chords and some strummed stuff. Tap stuff is intriguing as well. I'd wanna hear how this is on the 2nd position of that 5-way too, as that's where sweet cleans come from.

well lol ill do a drop A riff for the "chugga chugga" and it isnt asking much considering my main style of playing is metal (mostly tech death and black)

and for clean ill probably have some fun with all of the positions

what preamp should i use for the distortion?

i have the metal shop on my gear box
